While we cannot assure that there is such thing as Fairtrade Gemstone, one option that has recently become aware is gemstones mined under fair principles.
This has a big impact on our supply chain, while we are always looking from improvements in the quality and provenance of our materials - metals and stones.
Ensuring that the stones come from healthy and safe mining surroundings and cutting, as well as making sure that the miners and lapidaries are paid fairly and their community benefits.
We are able to source sapphires, spinel, garnet, citrine, peridot, emerald and tourmalines which have been sourced from suppliers who work on fair trade principles.
All of our stones are sourced and cut in Foz do Iguaçu in Brazil, looking after our supplier José and his family so they benefit from handling directly with Adriana Chede Jewellery.
The relationship started in 2014 when we launched our signature ring, the Baguette Ring with the baguette cut stones made with Brazilian gems.

We are very proud to advertise that 80% of the Gold used by Adriana Chede Jewellery is recycled.
It means that the gold we use has been recycled back via a traceable process into fine gold. The feed material for it comes in the form of scrap from market sectors such as the jewellery, giftware, medical and electronics industries.
When you buy recycled gold from Adriana Chede Jewellery you're purchasing a 100% recycled gold with none of the associated human or environmental problems that can sometimes be associated with mining. You're also buying gold whose origins will appeal to your customers - in an increasingly eco-aware marketplace.
