SOLID GOLD JEWELLERY
Gold is rarely sold pure because of how soft it is in its pure form, so we use different alloys. This involves combining the solid recycled gold with other metals to control the colour and hardness of the piece. We only use solid 9ct and 18ct gold in our collections.
White gold pieces may need the white rhodium layer replacing, and it is advised to check locks and clasps of necklaces for firmness. Avoid using creams, perfumes and other products on top of chains, pearls and stones. Store it inside somewhere protected, inside the original packaging or a jewellery box.
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR HANDMADE JEWELLERY
Precious jewellery should be treated like any other item in your wardrobe, which includes cleaning it and repairing it when required.
Once or twice a year it should be taken for a professional cleaning and checking - to ensure that everything is in place and stones (if applies) are safe in their setting.
From regular use, dirt and grime can build up on the details and underneath the stones and can cause your stones to look dull.
Leave your pieces soaking for 20-30 minutes on warm water with washing liquid. We recommend using a soft brush to gently brush your piece, removing the grime. Rinse and dry it well. Buff it with an anti-tarnish Gold polishing cloth for a shining finish.
*This recommendation is for solid Gold jewellery only. If your pieces have any kind of pearl or coloured stones, don't use this method.
Instead take it to a professional to have it safely cleaned. If you have doubts or would like to have your jewellery cleaned, please don't hesitate to contact at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll be happy to advise you.
